18–19 May, meeting of Work Package leaders and the project’s General Assembly, hosted by ICS-ULisboa.

The meeting brought together researchers from across Europe and advisory board members to review progress and coordinate the next phase of the EU-funded project on corruption and democratic resilience. Discussions focused on the project’s core research strands, including the theoretical and empirical frameworks of political corruption, the relationship between corruption and democratic legitimacy, lobbying and political finance, revolving doors and personal networks, the capture of legacy and digital media, and cross-border corruption in the digital age. 

Sessions also addressed the social construction of corruption through media and education, the consequences of corruption for democratic support, and grassroots practices of integrity in digital societies. Alongside thematic presentations, participants worked in parallel group sessions to coordinate research outputs, dissemination strategies, and collaborative activities.

The meeting concluded with an advisory board feedback session and the General Assembly of the project consortium.
