RESPOND at the FALCON Final Event

RESPOND is pleased to announce its participation in the final event of the Horizon Europe project FALCON (Fighting Corruption and Organised Crime), which will take place on 9 July 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The event marks the conclusion of three years of collaborative research dedicated to developing innovative tools and approaches to detect, prevent, and investigate corruption and financial crime. Bringing together researchers, policymakers, law enforcement authorities, and technology experts, the final conference will showcase FALCON’s key achievements, policy recommendations, and future directions for anti-corruption efforts.
As part of the programme, RESPOND coordinator Alice Mattoni (University of Bologna) will participate in the roundtable discussion “Mapping the Corruption Landscape – Emerging Schemes and Trends”, focusing on the evolving forms of corruption and the challenges they pose to democratic governance and public accountability.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Jacopo Costa, Senior Specialist, Prevention, Research & Innovation at the Basel Institute on Governance, and will also feature:
- Bence Tóth (Government Transparency Institute)
- Monika Bauhr (University of Gothenburg)
- Michael Victor Lo Giudice (Transcrime)
The roundtable will take place from 14:00 to 15:00 EEST and will provide an opportunity to discuss emerging corruption patterns, innovative research approaches, and policy responses in a rapidly changing landscape.
We invite all interested stakeholders to join the discussion and learn more about the outcomes of the
FALCON project.
