On 15 October 2025, the European Commission hosted the third plenary meeting of the EU Network Against Corruption in Brussels. Launched in May 2023, the Network brings together national authorities, civil society, researchers, EU agencies, and international organisations to foster collaboration and strengthen the fight against corruption across the EU.

RESPOND was represented at the event by Luís de Sousa from the Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa).

Several key EU-funded anti-corruption projects presented their research findings, sparking discussions among participants on how to translate these insights into practical, ground-level actions involving all relevant stakeholders. The RESPOND project was showcased alongside BRIDGEGAP (Bridging the Gaps in Evidence, Regulation and Impact of Anticorruption Policies, funded by Horizon Europe), FALCON (Fight Against Large-scale Corruption and Organised Crime Networks, also funded by Horizon Europe), and POSEIDON (focused on corruption in the port value chain, funded by ISF Corrupt).

The outcomes of the plenary will inform the European Commission’s upcoming EU anti-corruption strategy, reinforcing the link between integrity, competitiveness, and democratic resilience.
