Luís de Sousa

Luís de Sousa is a Principal Researcher at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa). He is Chair of IPSA/RC20 on Political Finance and Political Corruption. He works and publishes primarily on corruption perceptions, control policies, and political ethics regulation. He is Local Research Correspondent on Corruption for the European Commission and acts as an international consultant on corruption control. He was also co-founder and former Chair of TI-Portugal.

Pedro C. Magalhães is a Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa). He works and publishes primarily on public opinion, elections, and judicial politics.

Pedro C. Magalhães

Isabel Pinto

Isabel Pinto is Director of the Social Psychology Lab of the University of Porto and Associate Researcher of ICS-ULisboa. Research interests: psychosocial processes associated to 1) deviant behaviour (namely hate crime and economic crime), 2) extremisms and polarization, 3) social exclusion, 4) misinformation and propaganda.

Filipa Madeira is a social psychologist and a researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS) of the University of Lisbon, where she coordinates the Postgraduate Seminars in Social Psychology. Throughout her career, she has coordinated the research project WHOLS – Whose Lives Should Be Saved? Race/Ethnicity of Patients and Medical Rationing during the COVID-19 Pandemic (LL20-30) and currently leads the WEMIX – Colonial Ideologies, Racism Denial, and Social Exclusion in Contemporary Portugal (FP24-2B014) project. Additionally, she co-coordinates the LUSO – The Past in the Present: Antecedents and Consequences of Luso-Tropicalism for the Legitimation of Contemporary Social and Racial Inequality (2022.05941.PTDC).

Felippe Clemente

Felippe Clemente is a Statistical Specialist at Statistics Portugal (INE) and an Associated Research Fellow at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa), Portugal. His research focuses on corruption, economic crises, tax evasion, and the economics of crime in Europe and beyond.

Gustavo Gouvêa Maciel is a PhD candidate at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa). He has knowledge of survey methods applied to corruption and experience in developing items and questions on corruption. His research focuses on tolerance towards corruption, including a detailed examination of its different definitions, measurements and implications for the quality of democracy. He is also an active member of the organising team of the Interdisciplinary Corruption Research Network (ICRN).
